It is safe to say, Thailand is EXTREMELY generous when it comes to it’s breathtaking scenery and those “insta-worthy” photo opportunities. With such diverse landscapes from beach to mountain, jungle to city, no matter what region you visit in Thailand, be prepared to be amazed because there really is something for everyone!

But with so much out there to explore, we thought we’d give you a little helping hand shortlisting some of the most amazing landmarks you’ll want to visit while travelling Thailand.

By the way, this was not an easy job 😅 😍 but here are some of our absolute faves;

1) Tiger Cave Temple, Krabi

Let’s start it off with a banger, and one that will require a little bit of effort but you know what they say; “the best views come after the hardest climbs” and this one comes after a mighty 1260 steps.

A beautiful buddhist temple built on top of a dramatic 600m high cliff with breathtaking 360 degree views of the Krabi Countryside. And no, I am yet to spot a tiger but you’ll definitely be accompanied by a monkey or 10!

2) Phi Phi Island Viewpoint

You’ve probably seen this epic viewpoint on Instagram once a twice right? 😍 A backpacking trip to Thailand isn’t complete until you’ve visited the Phi Phi Islands, and a trip to the Phi Phi Islands isn’t complete until you’ve walked up to this beautiful spot and appreciated this little slice of paradise with a birds eye view.

TIP – You’ll want to be up here for either sunrise or sunset, just bearing in mind that sunset is probably the most popular time of day as Phi Phi is famous for its legendary beach parties at night so you don’t get too many early risers 😂

3) Khao Sok National Park

Khao Sok National Park is one of those places you visit where you an hour can go by and all you’ve done is gazed in the distance in absolute awe of how special your surroundings are. An emerald green lake surrounded by dramatic limestone cliffs and the oldest evergreen rainforest in the world is an ABSOLUTE MUST when travelling Thailand.

4) Wat Saket (Golden Mount), Bangkok

Bangkok is home to approximately 400 buddhists temples and I imagine you’re going to want to visit a few of them? Well, how about one with an epic 360 degree view of the capital’s skyline? Built upon a hill, Wat Saket is one of the oldest and most beautiful temples in Bangkok and after climbing 344 steps to the top, you are welcomed by the most breathtaking views of the city. It’s even more special at sunset 🌇

5) Koh Nang Yuan

Looks pretty dreamy right? 😍

This cluster of 3 tiny islands connected by a sandbar is absolute paradise and found only a short boat ride from Koh Tao. Famous for this epic viewpoint, insane coral – great for diving and snorkelling or simply embracing the beach life with the white sand and turquoise waters. Either way, this beautiful spot in the Gulf of Thailand does not disappoint!

6) Pai Canyon, Pai

If you’re lucky enough to adventure to the tiny jungle town of Pai in Northern Thailand, make sure you take yourself to the beautiful Pai Canyon. Pai itself is often regarded as backpackers favourite spot in Thailand with a walk along the Canyon being the top of any must-do list while visiting!

Make it up there just in time for sunset and witness the most insane colours with silhouettes of rolling mountains in the distance.

Whether you’re travelling with us on of our Thailand trips or adventuring this incredible country alone, get adding these epic locations to your travel bucket list and it won’t be long before your uploading your own insta feed with #howsyourmonday 😉
